A lone escape pod burst from a thick cloud of space debris and dust, continuing to drift lifelessly into the empty void of space beyond the murky space. Inside this pod was a single Mythra boy, aged about sixteen years. He was a long way from home although.
The pod had drifted off the main trade route a bit, just now breaking through the thick cloud of pollution that surrounded the congested inter space route.
Leon had escaped narrowly. The previous ship he had been on, the Conqueror, was a pirate ship. He had been hired as an engineer on the ship, but he thought it was just a merchant ship, not a damn pirate ship! It turns out not many engineers want to be pirates, they could make much more actually working legitimately. At first Leon thought they were just particularly menacing merchants that were heavily armed all the time... and didn't take many showers. With Leon's luck, it was not long after he found out it was in fact a pirate ship that there was a mutiny on board. He immediately left the ship on an escape pod, and around the same time another pirate ship had pulled up to capture his ship during the chaos. He had to shut off all the systems in the pod temporarily, even the life support through the main kill switch in the vehicle. And now he was just getting ready to turn the life support back on, the air in the pod was starting to run out, and it was getting a little chilly even for this snow leopard Mythra.
Leon peeked out the small port hole window in the pod one last moment, looking to where he had emerged from to see if anything followed him. He didn't see anything though. This made his mood lighten a bit, and he smiled widely. "Well now, let's get some air in here, before I pass out for a nice nap I won't ever wake up from." he said, talking to himself. When he was nervous he tended to do this.
After a few minutes of fiddling about with the systems he managed to get the life support back online, but by now the pod's power was not very high, he would have to conserve all the energy for the life support until he made his way out of this ordeal. He glanced out the window into space again as it floating by him. The glass of the porthole was slightly cold to the touch and it fogged under his breath. After a few moments Leon decided to start drawing on the window, making a smiley face. "Hello there Bob, my name is Leon." he spoke to the smiley face, "What a fine day it is to die today."
He sighed turning away from the window and looking around the pod. Well, I never would have thought I would be bored while I waited to die. He chuckled to himself at this thought.
