The small scout ship drifted through imperial space, along the fringes of the imperial territories. The small ship, only about fifty meters long was insignificant, not likely to be picked up by imperial scanners since its lack of weapons kept its power signature low. Kairu had been traveling in the small ship for about a week now, just entering imperial space hours earlier. Although the ship was small, it was not very fast or nimble. Kairu had not trouble controlling the craft although, keeping it in level space flight. He yawned for a moment looking over the scanners again for a moment checking his progress to his destination. Kairu's destination, his home world.
The very thought of his old home-world saddened the warrior, every time he thought of it, he became gloomy and make him even more non-sociable than he normally would be. But these thoughts were quickly whisked away.
Kairu gripped the edge of the chair he was sitting in then, all the muscles in his body tensing as the presence came over him again. It did not speak, but he could tell what it was trying to convey by the raw emotions it flooded his mind with, pain, anger, and sorrow. As all the previous memories of holders of the dragon soul ran through his mind like a torrent, Kairu let out a howl in pain, if felt like his very mind was being fried by the energy in him now.
The energy in the form of lighting now danced from his body making contact with the metal flooring, walls and various controls panels around the ship. All of the ship's systems were fried in seconds. Just as quickly as the presence came, it receded back into Kairu's sword again. Kairu fell unconscious for a good few minutes then, and when he woke, his whole body was still sore. Groaning, Kairu rolled onto his hands and knees panting heavily, a cold sweat upon him now.
As Kairu looked around, the whole ship had gone dark, the only light in the ship was the light from the endless stars of space illuminating the control room of the ship. As soon as he saw this, Kairu didn't know how the hell he was going to get out of that particularly sticky situation.
