"Skulls," it didn't matter how many atrocities that Nyx committed, how many people she's hurt or made suffer, and how many lives she has ended, that word made a shiver go down her spine. She didn't even need the description from the girl. The image of that Skull emblem was seared into her memory from when the soldiers had boarded her ship, gunned down the few guards her family had, as well as Saeris. The same soldiers kept her in line whenever she tried to resist or fight back against her captors. They were imperial special forces, most likely the same unit tasked with capturing the galactic angels for the empire's personal use. She was able to piece together that insignia from the fact that there was another angel being pursued. Was the empire actively still pursuing the galactic angels? Nyx had destroyed the facility built to contain her, did the empire rebuild it? Or did they have others the entire time? The emotions visibly showed on Nyx's face as the other angel spoke. They were here on Iceni, and in Sokolov. The question was had they been tracking the girl or had they been tracking down Nyx. Either way, she could only imagine the promotion to whatever one of these soldiers would drag them both in. Her mind was reeling with these thoughts when the girl took her hand.
Pain lanced through Nyx, she didn't cry out in pain but it was a force of will to ensure that she didn't. Spears of ice surged through her veins, and she immediately let go like a child that just touched a hot stove. Even the slight touch had a lasting numbing effect on her arm, as if the circulation had been cut off for too long. Nyx was the angel of death, this effect plus what Nyx had seen earlier meant that this girl had to be the angel of life. She didn't seem to take the insult that Nyx wasn't going to hurt her too personally, she hadn't foreseen this either. But it made sense to Nyx, the girl didn't know that she was an angel just yet. The girl was accusing her of hurting her, "I didn't intend to..." Her words trailed off, she didn't expect that to happen. She understood the wide birth that the girl gave her, but Nyx didn't want her to stray too far as she skittered through the hallway. She said that they were here in the homestead, Nyx was showing extreme caution. Each corner she would go first, a slightly glow in her hand gave away that she was ready to use her dark magic to rip any would be hostiles to shred in a moment. Unfortunately the Governor had forced Nyx to disarm herself when she had came into this place. She looked to the holographic readout on her arm, she had noticed that the touch with the angel of life had curbed her powers, the containment systems hardwired into her were not working quite as hard to keep her rampant abilities in control. But it still wouldn't stop Nyx from killing anyone who dared to draw a gun on her.
The wariness seemed to ease off when they reached the crowded main floor of the trade hall. Nyx seemed to ease up a bit, if the Imperials knew where they were they hadn't felt this is the time to strike. She fixed her clothing, the undershirt that she wore might show off some of the scars that she bore from both her own surgery and imperial surgeons. Most glaringly was the scars from where her wings were removed, the scars remained in the exact same position as the girl's own wings. She looked back to the girl, "I'm sorry if I hurt you... or startled you." there was a slight pause before she spoke further. She had to choose her next words carefully, "My name is Nyx." She hoped it would be a sign of trust.
Nyx had skittered up stairs, joining the rest of the gentlemen in the room. She had passed several well armed and armored guards, they had questioned the girl's presence but Nyx ensured that they didn't hassle her like before. Eventually she came to the meeting room that she had been in before. The Governor paused his conversation as he looked Nyx over. He didn't look happy to have these interruptions, nor did he look happy to have the girl in here. An angered glance from Nyx stoped any protests from the man. "So she is back, you've inspected her weapons. She has several more here and Miss Darothmir has knack for getting ahold of them. She's not asking for many credits instead she wants material. There is quite a bit of room for profit here." The conversation was cut off as the entire room seemed to shatter.
The glass windows that had given the meeting room what might be called a beautiful view of Sokolov had shattered. One of the planes of glass breaking as several shots from a gauss rifle lanced through the window. One of the businessmen was caught in the chest, the round passing clear through his unarmored form, throwing him to the floor. A second was taken down by a follow up shot. The other members immediately scattered for cover. Unfortunately the doorway was right in the line of fire. Nyx herself moved to the side. She shoved the girl away from the line of fire, she fought through the pain to save both her life and Nyx's own. Nyx looked to the man who had been shot, he couldn't move away, he laid on the floor in a pool of his own blood as he visible struggled to breathe. The shots caught him high in the chest, but hadn't killed him instantly. Knowing a sniper the shooter was looking to lure others into his line of fire. She grabbed the shard carbine that was brought here for display while the other conspirators had drawn their own side arms. If the governor of Sokolov didn't beleive that the empire was at his door before, now he had a very real look at the threat at his door.
