The ship was cruising along reasonably. Some Gorgons were crewing it, but several did not feel the need to, nor had the skill to. Instead, they did other things, such as review battle plans or play video games. (Okay, I was joking about the last one...) One of the ones reviewing battle plans had long blonde hair, small curling horns, bat-like wings, and, dare she say, a generally hot looking appearance. She was thoroughly annoying the others by the sound of it, but, despite having the shrillest voice of everyone, seemed to have some sort of authority. She giggled as she showed them her own revisions, which stared a certain Gorgon as center stage: Kec'ka. I'll give you a hint. That was her. Some of the other Gorgons seemed to protest, but it was in vain. Kec'ka's plan was airtight. After all, her plan involved suggesting to the army that they simply stop fighting, and Kec'ka was pretty @#!*% convincing. Her "suggestion" might just be followed.
The Gorgons were scouting a place out called Pannisonya. Kec'ka thought it was a thoroughly silly name, but apparently the others thought it was a relatively normal name for this part of the galaxy. (Planet type: Terrestrial. Has jungles across it. Seems relatively... Er... Well, average, actually.) Kec'ka knew that. She sighed. "That doesn't mean it doesn't sound silly," ah said. She pulled out a red pen. "Now, we should, like, get back to this planning thingy!" She and the others, all but her in seemingly deep thought, got back to the battle plans. Kec'ka found some of the more ridiculous ideas entertaining, but in the end, they entirely followed her plans. That was how she wanted it, after all, and sh always got what she wanted.
Then, for no apparent reason at all, the motor simply stopped. Everyone crowded angrily around the now very flustered driver, as it was not like she had planned this or anything! Kec'ka, from a distance, cackled delightedly. Maybe there'd be fight! She watched as a scene of chaos unfolded, happily giggling. She watched as the flustered drive tried to find the problem, and watched as the other Gorgons yelled at her. She laughed and giggled until someone yelled at her, when she finally said, "I know, like, nothing about these space-ship thingies, but why don't you, like, check the gas meter? That seems like a good idea." They turned to it and groaned. It was at zero. There was no more energy to power the thing, and the Gorgons, while powerful, would only be able to get the ship a short ways. The Gorgon Ship Titanic had stopped completely. Just when they thought they couldn't be any more stuck, they saw it. The motor had broken. No matter how much they were going to try, they were stuck. A chorus of those Gorgon double-voices cried out...
"What the heck is going on?" They murmured to each other in curiosity and anger. They were SURE they had refueled at the last planet they'd conquered, and of the motor was broken in two, why hadn't they noticed? It made no sense! Flustered, the driver tried to explain herself. Kec'ka sighed. "Like, guys? Let's get a grip. We will be rescued, like, soon!" At those words, she looked at the radar communicator with the other ships, the immediately tried to hide the worry welling up in her stomach. 'Soon' meant in a week. Thy didn't have a week. Pannisonya could be onto them at any moment. Unfortunately, someone noticed that her necklace was making a loud clinking noise, Kec'ka's most common nervous habit. She was nervous? The other Gorgon came over and looked at the radar.
"Crap." The flustered Gorgons tried to come up with something to do. The ideas started with "cast a spell to drag the ship" (too taxing), but as the ideas continuously failed, they got to the point that someone suggested using The Last Resort. At that, Kec'ka, despite loving all the chaos going on, decided to put her brain to use. For once her vanity came in handy as she handily came up with a new idea. She came into the circle. "Girls, I have, like, an awesome plan! We simply all transform into our, like, most gorgeous form, and we will give an SOS cry no one can refuse!"
"That's just your ego talking."
"No, like, seriously, what man could resist rescuing a ship crewed like entirely by girls?" The ten Gorgons looked a each other. The youngest ones understood first. Then, slowly, the older ones remembered what it was like to have boys chasing them. They all slowly realized that the plan might actually work! One by one, they transformed into women of varying degrees of stunning, although Kec'ka knew she was the bombshell of the group. They pulled out the video feed camera and began a brief SOS feed.
"Are motor broke and we're stranded! Titanic calls out mayday, please give us girls a hand! There are ten of us in all, please come rescue us! We'll be ever so greatful," said Kec'ka. As she talked, the camera purposefully flickered over the fake-frightened group of Gorgons on the other side of the ship, who were loving playing the role. It was actually rather fun! One Gorgons even pretended to cry for the camera. "Titanic calls out SOS! If you receive this message, please come rescue us!" Kec'ka changed back to her normal voice, as that voice had been her most convincing that was not actually magical. She smiled.
"Giels, like, I think we just got a free ride."
