WEAPONS
MELEE
Conventional: Conventional weaponry includes the Iron, Steel, or stone class of weaponry. They are the most basic, or primitive types of weaponry and are more commonly found on underdeveloped worlds. Though they are the least technologically advanced, it is the user who decides how deadly their weapon is.
Mechanical: Mechanical weaponry is most often described as any conventional weaponry with mechanical upgrades. Basic weapons like swords, axes or hammers with mechanical slings, arms or devices would fall under this category. Though they are more technically advanced that conventional weapons, depending on the maker, they can sometimes be faulty and prone to defects.
Plasma: Plasma weaponry is the most dangerous and deadly of all weapon types. Made from pure energy, these weapons not only cut, but burn through most materials and objects, making every hit nearly fatal. Though plasma weapons are the strongest, a wielder is more likely to have trouble activating them and there is a higher risk of self-afflicting injuries.
FIREARM
Projectile: Projectile firearms are the most basic type of weapon. Their ammunition is generally solid rounds; some bullets, some pellets, or some other forms of ammunition. Though they are on the lowest tech level of firearms many, due to scientific and mechanical advancements, prove to still be extremely deadly if handled correctly.
Charged: Charge-based firearms are guns that fire bursts of energy. These charged weapons can be modified to expel a wide variety of different types of energy depending on the battery equipped to it. While the most standard charge weaponry fires bursts of pure energy, some can be equipped with batteries to fire electromagnetic rounds and sometimes even elemental rounds. This class of firearm is one of the most varied and more commonly seen on Uncharted Worlds on the brink of space travel.
Plasma: Plasma firearms are the most deadly type of firearm. By using pure energy plasma cells, their super-charged rounds can burn through most materials making almost every hit a kill shot. Though plasma weaponry is the most powerful, it is also the most dangerous to handle. There are many cases of self-inflicted injury.
SPECIAL WEAPONRY
Heavy: Heavy weapons are literally the heaviest of all the three weapon types. From projectile to plasma, these massive guns require heavily armored units to wield them. Though heavy weaponry is generally slow and has both build-up and cool-down time, their devastating rounds can punch holes in vehicles and knock down buildings. Mechanoids tend to favor these.
Artillery: Artillery weaponry are stationary weapons that are mostly used for defense. Whether they are dug in on the battlefield or mounted on vehicles, these powerful weapons are known to level entire battlefields and, depending on their firepower, entire cities. Artillery weapons are more often mounted on battleships and large armored vehicles.
Explosives: Anything that goes boom can pretty much be classified as Explosive weaponry. Whether it is your generic frag grenade or plasma grenade, handheld explosives are the most universally seen throughout the galaxy, though there are many weapons that possess explosive capabilities as well. Handle with care, or you may do more than blow a few fingers off.
Pre-recorded: Any weapon type not yet categorized or recorded. These miscellaneous weapons can have a variety of variations and specializations, but as they are discovered they are reported and properly categorized.
